Colin Thomas Lyle’s desire for animation started in his early childhood. Sent away to arts camp each summer, his family’s support has always been evident. Drawing established cartoon characters never appealed to Colin, however, creating his own world of characters was, and still is, his lifelong passion within his entire heart and soul. With 200+ characters under his belt, multiple film and television scripts, and 4 television show proposals, he has found what he was meant to do, and will continue to do for the rest of his life. Excelling at art, music, English and creative writing, Colin was always at the top of his class and graduated with honours with multiple awards, medals, and certificates. After multiple creative writing awards, screenwriting seminars, and years of studying, Colin has blossomed into a professional writer, producer, illustrator, and animator. Also classically trained and fluent in 5 instruments, Colin is also a private music instructor who has taught out of his own personal music teaching practise for 7 years. In 2008, Colin began writing, illustrating, and publishing a series of children’s books, however, leaving the books behind after publication to achieve success in his dream field, animation.
